He was the owner and operator of Raleigh-Durham Aviation from 1961 until 1987. He is also an Airline Transport rated pilot with over 16,000 hours experience worldwide. Bucky served on The Duke Childrens (TM) Hospital National Board of Advisors. He also serves as a member of the Board and Executive Committee for The Hill Center and is co-chair of The Hill Center Campaign. Through Winsome Investors LLC, Bucky and his partner provide financing and Board leadership for Confidant. Lanier M. Cansler, CPALanier Cansler is President of Cansler Fuquay Solutions, Inc., a consulting and strategy solutions firm focused on business and non-profit organizations in the health care industry and government. He began his career in 1973, becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1977. In 1981 he started his own public accounting firm dedicated to management consultation and taxation issues, with an emphasis on services to health care providers. In 1994, Lanier co-founded and became president of Partners Healthcare Group, Inc. In six years, he helped transform a five-physician practice into one of the largest and most successful allergy and asthma specialty practices in the country. Beginning in 1994, Lanier was elected to four terms in the N.C. House of Representatives. In 2001, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, the largest-budgeted of all N.C. agencies. Resigned December 2008 to take on the position of Secretary of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Diane I. Johns, MBADiane Johns has broad experience in management and design in various industries, including the hospital, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries. She has both owned a pharmacy and also worked for Northwest Mutual, Kremers-Urban Co. (where she was EVP and controller) and Froedtert Memorial Hospital, the largest tertiary care hospital in Wisconsin. Diane also serves as Chair of the Board of Lutheran Social Services and is President of the nonprofit group Lutheran Church Women. Dew-Anne Langcaon, CPADew-Anne Langcaon has more than 20 years of financial and business experience with over a decade in healthcare finance, operations, and strategic business development. She is Chief Operating Officer of PacifiCap Group, Hawaii's largest private equity and venture capital firm. She is also a co-founder and the CEO of Ho'okele Personal Health Planners, LLC. Prior to joining PacifiCap, Dew-Anne was the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for Hawaii Pacific Health, Hawaii's largest healthcare provider with four hospitals, 350 employed physicians, more than 1,500 affiliated medical staff, and more than 5,000 total employees. Before entering the healthcare industry, Dew-Anne spent six years as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche in Honolulu. Dew-Anne volunteers her time and leadership skills to many boards in the community including: the chair of Hawaii Science and Technology Council; vice chair of the American Red Cross Hawaii State Chapter; secretary of Aloha United Way; St. Andrew's Priory School; Enterprise Honolulu, as well as volunteering her time to various other community projects. Dew-Anne is also currently serving as the co-chair for the University of Hawaii Search Committee for the new Dean for the John A. Burns School of Medicine. David C. BjorkMr. Bjork is a founding partner of Commonwealth Health Partners. Prior to Commonwealth Health, Mr. Bjork was Senior Vice President of PolyMedica Corporation, the largest provider of testing supplies and related services to people with diabetes. He was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, developing and contracting with the commercial health plan market and developing strategic relationships. Mr. Bjork was a member of the senior management team at the time of the sale of PolyMedica to Medco Health Solutions. Prior to this Mr. Bjork served as Senior Vice President of IntelliCare, a leading clinical call center organization where he was responsible for business development, account management, sales and marketing. At IntelliCare, he grew the company from $5 million to $20 million over four years, entered the company into the health plan and disease management markets, and participated in the sale of the company to PolyMedica. Resigned December 2008 to pursue other interests. |
